to play the piano the rest of the days of my life

I am a 67 year old woman who started learning to play the piano 2 years ago. my dream is to become an accomplished pianist and to keep the fun and enthusiasm i have for my journey as rich and adventurous as it is today. i want to play beautiful music that comes from inside of me and finds expression through nibble fingers. i want my mind to stay sharp and my heart open. some people might think that a person my age is beyond dreaming--but for me, dreaming has really just begun.

Right on!

Wonderful dream! As long as anyone has an ounce of life in their body they should have a dream. In fact I saw this amazing documentary awhile ago about these vibrant elders (age 80's-100's) who had exquisite rich healthy lives. All of them were still pursuing dreams, or discovering new passions, or exploring new parts of their world. One of them started playing the piano at age 80 and became a renowned composer and classical pianist by their late 90's. It was so inspirational and the message was that life will give you as much as you put into it. And if you continually enrich your life with new dreams then you will live long enough to see them out. So the point is, keep dreaming and you keep living.

Is this who I think it is?

If it is, I adore and admire you! Yes, you, rascal!
And can I just say that the last line of your dream is absolutely INSPIRING and I hope anyone who reads your dream and is of a certain age gets the message loud and clear!
You are doing what you love, and that makes life worth living.
