My dream is to develop a way to bring more awareness, and creative functionality to the relationship between the soul and the personality through my visionary art.

The first part of my dream I realized many years ago. That included:

Making the creation of Sacred Art (art which inspires our highest potential and is also an interactive tool of consciousness), an integral part of my spiritual practice.

Incorporating the development of the intuition through the practice of symbol reading, (introduced as a kind of soul game play) into my sacred art.

Developing and practicing my sacred art through a form of Symbolic Portraiture which uses a technique I call Visionary Attunement.

Now, after pursuing a few other passions, I'm finally ready to manifest the second part of my dream.
I want to share my sacred art, the Visionary Attunement experience, with as many persons in our bright blue global village as possible - through my new, soon to be fully functional website, visionaryattunements.com.
The front page is up now, and the FAQ page is working too. The gallery page for viewing examples of the In Depth Soul Attunements, and the page describing the various sacred art objects I offer will be working very soon. My blog, when up and running, will be TheMerchantOfVisions.com.

I have faith in simple grass roots efforts, and believe "word of mouth" to be the most authentic way to put people in contact with good ideas and experiences. I also believe in living simply, and sharing the wealth.

So, in my dream part two, I'm giving nice commissions to any person responsible for bringing me clients. My rationale for this policy is that this generosity helps me to stay at home and do the visionary attunements, rather than traveling all over the country as I did before when doing this full time. It also helps me take care of one of my other passions - my food gardening. I like the idea of enabling other people in turn, to profit by helping me share this sacred art experience with their friends.

My plan is to use video conferencing to compensate for the remote aspect of my doing the visionary attunements. My desire, of course, is to still be able to meet with my clients 'face to face', so it's like our meeting in person.
If you're interested in this and want to make contact before I've got all my website functional, my email is: kap4452@yahoo.com

Welcome Keith!

Thanks so much for participating in our online experiment! It has been eons since we last met. I was just a kid then. But I'm glad to reconnect and hear about all the exciting things you are up to. Please keep us updated on your progress!

Look wonderful

I just went to your website....you do a really marvelous job of describing what you do, which must have been difficult because of the unique and mysterious nature of your work. Its all written really beautifully, and it intrigues me alot.

Do you do any art shows? Perhaps as part of art conventions around the country?

Also, I'd really love to see some of your work. When will your gallery page be up online?

my take on the presentation of sacred art...

There's this, and a little small world surprise at the end for you....

Because I consider this practice categorically as Sacred Art, I feel naturally inclined to limit my presentation to a more intimate context. Though each of these soul attunements has an intrinsic appeal aesthetically, and symbolically to a larger audience (people interested in this kind of thing), they are in fact made especially for one individual as an inspirational, interactive mirror for deepening self awareness.

Collectively, when viewed as a body of creative work, people can readily see in the In Depth Soul Attunements, their portrait qualities, because each has a stamp of individuality, yet because of the allegorical nature of symbols, they also contain the potential to reveal personal stories of meaning to any person who would go into them in the manor I suggest for games of imaginal soul play. Such is the nature of symbols. We provide their personal meanings through the crucible of our own experience.
For most who have received my soul attunements, they reflect mysteries of self, which even if aren't consciously explored, remain a sustained beacon of fascination for the person.
So, I believe there's a major difference of context between this kind of art form and conventional ones. hence, I want the public presentations to respect that difference.

When I did this particular work full-time - the first time, around twenty years ago, I did do whole life expos and the like, and traveled a lot. I'm not really into that now, and the whole new age scene that goes with the show, I don't really care for much.
Galleries aren't set up to deal with this kind of art, besides, and I don't have much of the ego necessary for the gallery milieu either. It's just too distracting, and time consuming. I feel it's more appropriate and more enjoyable for me, to do this one on one, one person at a time.

Joseph, I want to tell you how it is that I come to this great place of soul sharing which you & friends & family (they're kind of the same, huh?) have made available to the world.

Twenty or so years ago, in Mendocino, I did soul attunements for Shyam, Shanti, and their mother - Alene. It was my friend Star** Alexander who suggested that I up load my dream here.

My decision to return to this work full time was made recently, just in the last month. I've been doing the art for my website and Star is helping me translate it all into my website.
Although I've continued to do the soul attunements during these last fifteen years, offering them to persons I've met who wanted to experience it, and to keep developing my skills and exploring the attunement experience, I essentially took a time out to get some perspective, absorb my experience, and pursue other passions.

I came to a point (from the intensity of doing them full time for over a dozen years), where I wanted to step back, and reflect on, and integrate my experience. For about (15) years, I've focused on a few other passions too - (cooking & food gardening, and a little writing).
Incidentally, my writing focus involves another dream of mine. It's a synthesis of all my teaching over the years. I've developed a new yoga of vision, which I'm calling Ajna Yoga. I'll post that too, when I'm ready
Namaste', Keith.

This sounds amazing

I can't wait to check out your website. What part of Arizona do you live in? What an amazing and cosmic place to live!

Thanks for your comment Joseph!

Bisbee is in the S.E. on the Mexican border, and is a rather unique mountain village with a colorful history, and with more interesting persons per sq. mile, than most tiny towns. (pop. @10,000)

Regarding the 'new' of what I do (have done now for over (25)years), I'll share with you my hit on it:

It's my belief that for humans, at this point in our development, creation is more like finding new arrangements and variations of the basic elements which we then pour into our specific desires and dreams.
There isn't much under our sun that is truly new is there? However, we invariably put our stamp of individuality on all that we do, especially with creative expression, when we're inspired and acting authentically. That said, in my many years of doing this, I have yet to come across any other actual visionary attunement artists offering this kind of experience. So it does seem to be a rather unique offering for now. Perhaps, by expanding my out reach further into our global village, I'll come across others doing this kind of visionary work, we'll see.
Functional belief in the soul as a real part of our whole being which can be communicated with is not yet that common in modern culture. Everyone ultimately has to transcend the limitations of religion to find their own deep spirituality. Finding practical ways to interact with the soul which are way outside the ridiculous boundaries and shallowness of most religions, is rather new to most people. However, we are witnessing a spiritual revolution of unprecedented proportions, and more exploration of the potential of personal communication with the soul is inevitable.
There's a kind of newness - in that we're not that familiar with sacred art, or much of the sacred in art in today's modern culture. I define sacred art in a most general way as art which inspires our highest potential, and which also serves as a tool of consciousness.
My visionary attunement work is portrait art which is allegorical, which presents a new way of looking at ones self, which can also transform awareness, and deepen the soul personality connection.

The other aspect of sacred art is its functionality. This is how I present it through the visionary attunements:

It's basically pure play, a creative game of make-believe. Through this familiar practice from our childhood, the dynamics of imaginal play open the stories, meanings, and power which the symbols contain for the recipient. This is a fun introduction to the practice of symbol reading, or as the ancient sage Patanjali called it, spiritual reading.
Insight and understanding come from symbolic encounters in which the person talks and/or writes, and draws, dances, or acts out imagined ideas, feelings, stories, conversations, dialogues, and activities with the attunement's symbols, in the practice of imaginal play.

Namaste', Keith.
