Temp housing and work

I am planning on moving across the country, to a place that felt like "home" when I visited three years ago for the second time.  This is a move to plant my roots after being n grad school for five years, during which I lived and worked in three difference cities during the summer months.  More >

I shared my dream with a friend and she gave me some helpful thoughts.  She helped me to realize that I can just bring maybe clothes and other necessities while I continue to job search.  Then, once I get settled, I can send for the rest of my things, like books.  This awareness, of taking steps toward this goal, even with moving my things, really helped me to see this process a little clearer.  The conversation also motivated me to follow-up on a temporary housing/living situation.  For the time being, once I arrive, I will couch surf and then live/work on a goat farm.  The farmer is kind enough to let me attend to interviews and conferences while I help on the farm.
