I remember when this dream was conceived. Joseph and I were in the middle of one of our favorite activities, drinking green tea and brainstorming project ideas at our favorite cafe on Melrose, Blu Jam. He told me about the WYD concept as a social movement to inspire people to see, speak, and live their dreams. The minute he said it I was on board. We both have dreams of using film and television to inspire people with compelling stories, but this was a way to do it directly. From there we began developing WYD and plotting out what it could be, starting with just a simple website. Well this is that website! We have lots more goals for the WYD movement, far beyond this website, but this is a huge first step. As we grow we will continue to build the website to be more dynamic, exciting, and fun. We are open to your ideas and suggestions too, so please let us know your thoughts. What is most important though is that you find and pursue your dreams, and connect with and support others doing the same, because we believe in the power of dreams to change and improve our lives and the world around us. Thanks for reading.

Outlining an idea for a website video " Welcome to Sachse, What's your dream?", inspired by Pretty Woman, I landed on your WYD website and was instantly humbled by your beautiful WYD video. For one nano second I thought it was a U-tube production that maybe you would allow me to insert into our website. In nano second two I realized this was professional art. During the next two and half minutes I was completely engaged in fulfilling my own dreams. My daughter,Steffanie, and I are trying to build a 200,000 s/f 'green' sportsplex in a small (pop. 20K) Texas town. The city council has commissioned a feasibility study to determine the project's success, a very positive step forward for a land grant . In the past 8 years Steffanie has coached volleyball for 10,000 girls in nonprofit, recreational leagues and National Jr. Olympic travelling club teams. My background is finance as cfo for architect, engineer and construction firms. We are convinced that our success is tied to supporting others in achieving their dreams through business incubation networking, creating 50 new businesses + 200 jobs. In this fund seeking stage we don't have much money but would like to license the video. Can you contact me to discuss the cost? Thanks, Cathy
This is an excellent concept and presented in a very dreamy way in keeping with the spirit of its cause. An ideal way of sharing yourself with the whole world. Love the quotes which keep on changing with each click of the mouse. Kep it up.
Thanks for such an great concept!
This is very exciting, Shyam!
May I suggest that you take a look at what Barbara Sher has done with her websites and message boards. BarbaraSher.com. One of the great ideas she has is to ask people to put in their obstacles to realizing their dream and to ask for the help they need. Then people who read the site can help them solve their problems. (It is all based on six degrees of separation. That we all know people who can help us, we just don't know until we ask.)
It is very cool and very dynamic and creates great community. It is pretty well designed by threads so you can easily scan to see if there is someone who needs something, like a contact or an idea, or a ........ and help out when you can.
There is other stuff too. Like a page where people can process when they are stuck and get coaching from other readers and other support.
The structure is good and I think you could incorporate some of that to keep your site flowing.
Best wishes and hurrah!
