more dreams...

i want to write another song with my music teacher. i wrote the lyrics and joseph composed the music. our song was inspired by susan boyle whose experience as a public performer touched me deeply. i think the way people responded to susan as surface failed to see the possibility of what she was inside. CONGRATULATIONS ON THE LAUNCHING OF " WHAT'S YOU DREAM"!

CONGRATULATIONS to both of you! Witnessing YOUR dreams coming true, is an
honor and a privilege! TO DREAM IT, IS TO BEGIN IT! You have created a space
to encourage the seeding of DREAMS, like the beginning of a potent garden,
that's been enriched with organic soil and nutrients, awaiting the planting
of the precious seeds of the DREAMS that will, one day, become the More >

We Got Spencer

On June 22nd we closed a deal to attach Spencer Breslin to star in Last Ride. One very important piece of the puzzle in place. We are now looking for Gary Sinise or Scott Bakula to play the Dad.

LIfe is so short....

....and our time on this earth so limited. I'm almost 30 now, but when I talk to my younger siblings and friends, Im reminded of how I felt at that age. Like I just wanted to figure out how to make enough money to survive. People always ask the question "what do you want to do when you grow up?" but that question denotes a job and a salary and all that goes with it. More >

In the groove now

I ended up writing more than planned yesterday, all the way through the next act. This is good news. Joseph and I had another great brainstorm session today and hammered out the rest of the pilot. Now our goal is to finish the first draft by August 1. Its ambitious but we're going for it. More >

Good session today

I am feeling inspired after a good brainstorm session with Joseph about our next feature script. We had a breakthrough and are starting to get the shape of the story down. So I'm going to use this burst of motivation to get up early tomorrow and write at least 5 pages on the pilot.

Making progress on the first draft

Well I am officially half way done writing our first TV pilot. Its been challenging tackling a straight comedy, there is so much to learn! But I believe everything improves with practice so I'll get there soon . The good news is during some of our brainstorms Joseph and I have been cracking ourselves up. That is a good sign I hope. Anyway, I really want to finish this draft by August 1. More >

Hello!

Hey, thanks for reading! I stumbled upon this site sorta by accident. I was driving down the road while I was home on leave and saw a car with a homemade sign that said, "What's Your Dream?" attached to the window, along with a number attached. I tried calling the number out of curiosity but never got an answer. More >

The Boards

I finally got my score back. I been haunted by step one and its score since march and finally the nightmare is over. I PASSED. now gotta start studying for step 2 :)

Finally updated the website

I can't believe it has been almost a year since I last updated the www.monsoonfilm.com website. But I finally did it. I'm excited because I just added Google Analytics to the site so now I can track whose coming to the site. I also cut the price of our DVDs so hopefully we'll get more customers. More >

What's my dream?

What's my dream? Truth be told, I feel like a fraud when I say it out loud. I want to win the Tour de France. There I said it. At this point, just getting ino the Tour would be a dream. Since I was 15 I've wanted to go race the Tour. For the last 10 years I have devoted myself to that goal. It's crazy to think about it, but I ride my bike more than a lot of people drive in a year. This website has been a long, long time in the making. I don't know what to say.....its actually a reality. Praise God and thank you to all the people who have helped make this possible.

Rain Breaw, my friend and our chief designer, who believed in this project and has given so much of her time and talent. Rain, you are absolutely amazing and I can't begin to express my gratitude. More >

its all in your head

There are days when I feel great, pumped, high on life and feeling like all my dreams are within arms reach. Then there are days I feel like the world sucks and my dreams are hopeless fantasies. Sometimes these two days follow one after the other. The funny thing is, most often the only difference between one day and the other is my perspective.

Found some inspiration today

I have to share a little story that gave me a boost today. There is this guy I've been working with for several months at my job. He is my supervisor actually. Or rather, was my supervisor, until he got fired out of the blue a few weeks back because of irreconcilable differences with the higher ups. Fortunately he was able to find another job within a week, but only for a short term. More >

Sunday

I've said it before but I'll say it again. The cornerstone of all film and television is story. And story starts with words on a page (it starts with the idea, but let's skip that step so I can make my point). I know I have to write before I can direct. For most, not all, this is the way into a directing career. And it will be the way in for me. More >
