its all in your head
There are days when I feel great, pumped, high on life and feeling like all my dreams are within arms reach. Then there are days I feel like the world sucks and my dreams are hopeless fantasies. Sometimes these two days follow one after the other. The funny thing is, most often the only difference between one day and the other is my perspective.

it's all in your head
Yes...I know what you mean. I love those "pumped" days; they have this "magic" about them, don't you think? But as you said, when I think about it, it's completely about my own perspective, because on those days, the connections with even strangers are vivid and bright, feelings of love give me a certain "burning" sensation in my chest and even grass is greener and sky is bluer. It's as though I'm suddenly awake, though I didn't know I had been asleep.
Lately I'm finding that this "pumped" feeling is directly connected to the steadily-growing opening up of my "knowing place." What I mean by that is that core "me" inside that just...KNOWS. I've been writing about this lately. You know when something happens or information becomes available that changes things, and you have that feeling of, "I KNEW that!" Or you just KNOW where to look for the lost keys, even though it's an illogical place for them to be. Or you just "know" that someone is in pain, even though they haven't said a word. As I open up my knowing place, throw open the windows and doors and sit down and listen there, my dreams become suddenly so clear....and possible. I could go on about this (and I am!), but I wanted to tell you I "get" that feeling. :)

so true
Usually the days I feel defeated are the days I'm bogged down with worries and distractions about material or non-essential things. But the good days I feel clear and connected, or open as you say. Its a journey in itself to try and stay open each day. I think it requires a daily practice of some sort, meditation or whatever works for each person. Some days I'm more successful than others at achieving it. Lately its been good though. Being around good and supportive people helps.
Thanks for your insights!
